I believe that eventually, the arguments for censorship shall be proven as ridiculous as the ones offered against fictional, adult consensual sex in Grand Theft Auto. Without having the slightest inkling of the concepts, the most basic lifeforms on earth commit murder, and engage in sexual intercourse. When our media document these acts, it is for the sake of bringing us closer to the real act without committing it ourselves. I am positive that we as a race do both of these things equally as often as we did before electronic media was invented. Thank you for starting the movement; surely truth and freedom will prevail. This is not like drunk driving, this is not a call to a riot; there is no indication of crime growth due to presense of such fictional work. Even if these bans are passed, other than crippling the Eroge industry, they will be for the most part ignored by the consumers. 3D game design is becoming more and more accessible to individual modders. A single person can draw manga abroad and share it on the Internet, a great communications tool that trascends borders. This will become just like The Prohibition. But regardless, I hope that these ridiculous and overreaching laws are thrown out, so that no one who means no harm to others has to resort to covert methods and fear criminalization.
