Send Letters

Four options are offered to anyone who wishes to participate in one – or several – of Yes to Freedom’s campaigns:

  1. Send the letter automatically via Yes to Freedom’s own mailing system (we discourage this – show initiative by sending the letter yourself!).
  2. If you use a stand-alone email client, simply click “Send Email” below the letter preview; subject and recipient(s) will be filled out for you.
  3. If you use a webmail service, copy and paste the provided text in the body of a new letter.
NOTE: Most webmail applications won’t interpret the formatting correctly. Use the plain text version we provide if this is the case for you.
  4. You may also download the PDF version of the texts, if you would rather send a conventional letter to the concerned recipient(s).

Letter to the CEDAW

This is meant to bring Equality Now's recent pro-censorship campaign against prurient fiction to the attention of the CEDAW (Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Discrimination against Women) as it is in fact encouraging discrimination.

NOTE: The letter already has our name under it, but please do put yours there as well. Example:
"Sincerely,
Yes To Freedom ~ Fiction Without Boundaries ~
and [your name here]"

Below is a sample letter for the selected campaign:
